The following is an account of the progress of the discovery of coins and antiquities in Afghanistan, mainly revolving around one of the most active and successful laborers in this field, C. Masson. H. H. Wilson added much authentic information that would be of series to the geographical investigation to bring together the scattered details, and arrange them in a form in which they might be readily consulted by the European scholars and geographers.
