About the Author:

Salman Rashid is Pakistani preeminent travel writer and a Fellow of Royal Geographical Society. In his books, the traveller, the story-teller and the historian swap hats at astonishing speed, blending geography, history, ethnography, and indigenous oral and historical traditions.
